Identify which inputs are configured as voltage and which as current in B&R module AI4622

Problem

After deploying an XML configuration to a B&R system, it is difficult to know which inputs are configured as voltage and which as current without knowing the xml or the original fieldbus designer project. Technicians on field may have difficulties to identify if the input is configured to be  0-5V or 4-20ma.

Solution

  1. Unplug all the cables from the module AI4622.
  2. Check the green lights on the module
  3. The inputs are labeled 1-4. The ones that are on will be the ones that are configured as current. The ones that are off are configured as voltage.
