How-To Create or Edit a host group

For a host group you do not need to assign basic services separately to each host. All services assigned to the host group are automatically configured for the included hosts as well. There is already a predefined hostgroup named "everyhost (All defined hosts)".

For creating a new host group or editing an existing one, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the Administration Web Interface > Configuration > Setup > Hostgroups
  2. Click an existing entry to change it or click “Create new hostgroup” to define a new host group
  3. Enter the necessary settings and click on  to save and apply the changes.
