How-To Create or Edit a contact

In the configuration area for contact you will define persons that are responsible for handling the respective problems and who will be notified (via e-mail or SMS). An "admin (administrator)" contact is however predefined by the system. You can later combine single contact to contact groups to define responsibilities for hosts/services (see How-To Create or Edit a contact group).

For creating a new contact or editing an existing one, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the Administration Web Interface > Configuration > Setup > Contacts
  2. Click an existing entry to change it or click “Create new contact” to define a new contact
  3. Enter the necessary settings and click on  to save and apply the changes.
